lpv:spoken text	"I welcome this resolution, which I co-signed, as an overdue statement of support for Thalidomide victims. Many governments, and in particular the German Government, have failed in their duty of care to Thalidomide survivors. They, and Grünenthal GmbH, which has still to this day not accepted full responsibility for its actions 50 years ago, need to start working together in the interests of Thalidomide survivors. I hope this resolution sends a strong signal that action is needed now, as Thalidomide survivors and their carers reach a stage in their lives where more assistance will inevitably be needed. They have waited long enough for proper compensation."@en1
