"UKIP MEPs have voted against this non—legislative report. Whilst UKIP of course supports the continued fight against corruption and crime, we do not endorse the competencies of the EU to do this. More specifically, UKIP opposes further EU legislation and the expansion of Europol and, lastly, rejects calls for a European Public Prosecutor’s Office. UKIP MEPs have also voted against the EU calling for Member States to legislate on mandatory rules concerning the right to stand for election or work in public administrations. UKIP believe that it is not for the EU to dictate how Member States should run elections or who they may – or may not – employ in public administrative roles."@en1
