"Climate change is the most significant challenge facing humanity as a whole at present. Its impacts are already being felt around the globe, fuelling conflict, the movement of peoples, and destruction of our ecosystems. My own temperate constituency of North-West England suffered terrible floods last year, partly brought about by a sub-tropical storm.
EU Member States must move as quickly as possible to ratify and implement the COP21 Paris Agreement, so that the EU can play a leading role in the global effort to combat climate change."@en1
