"The British Conservatives fully support the aims and outcome of this proposal. The need to increase the rate of returns and readmission of failed asylum seekers is essential if Europe is to tackle the migrant crisis effectively. This report is an important step towards reforming the current system of EU returns.
However, the UK does not participate in the European Common Asylum System and has not opted in to this measure. Therefore, the UK Conservative delegation will continue its longstanding position of abstaining on reports in relation to policies which the UK has not opted in to."@en1
