I support the calls on the Council in the areas of peace and security, the fight against terrorism, migration and the various other areas covered throughout the report. The continued cooperation between the EU – including the Parliament – and the UN is a great example of the EU’s commitment to multilateralism. I hope our institutions will continue to work together in such a positive way. I support the work of the UN, especially in the areas of peace and security and human rights, and I hope they will welcome the recommendations of this report. I hope to see the work that the UN does – especially in finding lasting and peaceful solutions to ongoing conflicts, as well as strengthening peacekeeping operations – continue and improve following the discussions and the debate at the 71st Annual General Assembly."@en1
