"I voted in favour of this resolution. European integration has been tested in recent months because of the refugee/migration crisis. Refugees should be integrated successfully into the European labour market to help ensure their economic security and to contribute to the economics of the host Member State. I believe that public spending investing in social inclusion and labour-market integration measures and programmes is likely to have a positive effect on national GDPs.
With active, large-scale support from microenterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises in the EU, the integration of refugees into the labour market can be successful. I agree with the provision that supplementary language classes be provided for refugee children in their home-country languages, and therefore I support the role of teachers in integrating refugee and migrant children and young people into the education system. The benefits of integrating refugees into the labour market are self-evident and I believe that this would help to secure further unity through the Member States at a time when it is badly needed."@en1
