lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report which calls for the implementation of this Directive which aims to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings and protecting the victims of its victims. I also believe that it is particularly important that this is from a gender perspective, as the vast majority of victims of THB (Trafficking in Human Beings) are women and girls, primarily for the purpose of sexual exploitation. In line with the Anti-Trafficking Directive to which the report refers, Member States need to take measures to reduce the demand for trafficking. We need better identification, treatment and support for victims as well as harsher penalties for traffickers and those who exploit victims. The fight against THB requires close cooperation across the EU."@en1
