The aim of the report is to outline the potential of these regions to contribute to Europe 2020 strategy; therefore I believe that the vote in favour is intrinsic to achieving this. This report highlights that mountainous regions face difficulties due to the lack of infrastructure and the additional costs. However, by developing these regions there will undoubtedly be an increase in jobs and sustainable tourism. Also, as outlined in the report the need to increase synergies between EU policies and to develop public-private partnerships in various sectors is crucial for this report to be successful."@en1
