"This demeaning report claims that women entrepreneurs are ‘being used as fronts’ by men, confess to a lack of entrepreneurial skills, lack self-confidence, assertiveness and willingness to take risks when starting a business. It suggests women entrepreneurs therefore require motivational and psychological support programmes.
I find such a stereotypical characterisation of women to be the most appalling example of everyday sexism, and wonder how the European Parliament could possibly pass such a patronising report given that we live in the 21st century.
It will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone that I voted against this report."@en1
