"This mobilisation of the EGF is the 16th time it has been used in 2015. EUR 40 million being mobilised to help those in Ireland who have been made redundant because of the major structural changes in the world’s trade patterns, which led to three major closures and the redundancy of 108 workers in PWA International Limited, who repair and install machinery equipment in Southern and Eastern Ireland.
I have always voted in favour of EGF applications, and I cannot agree with the ideologically driven opposition to this much needed funding by the Tories. The UK could benefit massively from the mobilisation of these funds, and it would definitely minimise the costs to the Government when it comes to helping those who have been made redundant."@en1
