"I voted in favour of this report because family businesses can play a crucial role in addressing the financial and economic crisis and in reviving the European economy. More than 60% of all enterprises in the EU are family run, and they account for 40-50% of jobs in the private sector. Family businesses take a longer-term view than non-owner-run businesses: they want to ensure that the business is also economically successful in the following generations."@en1
