"I voted in favour as this is a stepping stone in the right direction, keeping the door open for further legislation in the future, and ensuring that it was not watered down or lost should we be forced to go to conciliation. The final offer includes a cap on conventional biofuels of 7% that can be counted towards the 10% target for renewable energy in transport and set a non-binding target of 0.5% for advanced biofuels. It also obliges fuel suppliers to report on the indirect land use change (ILUC) emissions of their fuels, but these will not be taken into account when calculating fuels’ carbon footprint under the fuel quality directive."@en1
