"I voted against the renewal of the mandate of the Internet Governance Forum. This mandate gives the European Union the same standing in the IGF as a nation state. Not only does it give the EU more power but it directly attacks the sovereignty of Member States and the principle of subsidiarity. There would be no additional benefits to the EU being awarded this status in this Forum."@en1
