"I deplore the human rights abuses in Libya. I am concerned about the potential consequences of military intervention. In the light of recent human rights abuses, I support the principle of this motion, although I am unable to vote for it as a UKIP MEP because of the nature of the requests for Commission action, which has proved to be counterproductive in the past.
