"Mr President, first of all I would like to express my agreement with the comment made about the Boston bombing. I send my condolences to the victims and their families, and my best wishes to the injured. Terrorism must not, and will never, succeed.
The debate is about the future of the European Union, and I must say that I normally struggle to make my case in a minute, but such a debate is a very short one. What future does it have? Is it like the Soviet empire that had a blatant disregard for its people, which ignores it opinions and fails to give referendums – and when it does, it ignores the result and then calls for other referendums? Does it steal the savings of ordinary people, like it did in Cyprus? Does it disregard an occupying force in North Cyprus, even though it is part of the European Union – which unbelievably has the status of Nobel Prize Winner? Is this the future of the European Union? No. The future of the European Union is doomed. It is doomed to failure. It does not have a democratic mandate. You are frightened of the people. The European Union is failing, and that is why the UK needs to be out of it soon."@en1
