"I voted in favour of the report on small-scale coastal fishing, artisanal fishing and the reform of the common fisheries policy. I support the proposal to establish a definition of ‘small-scale fishing’, so as to be able to create specific support mechanisms for this community-based fishing sector. We need to adapt our policies in order to exploit fully the potential afforded by small-scale fishing, to maximise its profitability and to ensure more effective local management, which should be done within the context of the CFP reform."@en1
