lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this report because the second generation SIS (SIS II) can not only increase security and lead to a more intelligent use of information through interconnected alerts, but makes it possible to use new types of indication and new functions. The migration of the SIS 1+ currently used to SIS II is governed by two legal instruments: Council Regulation (EC) No 1104/2008 in the former first pillar and Council Decision 2008/839/JHA in the former third pillar. According to the current Commission proposal the two legal acts are recast in one, thus taking into account the abolition of the pillars (COM(2012)81)."@en1
