This strictly technical report contained very little information on the topic from the Commission, despite the fact that it affects various aspects of the trade in these products. Some sources suggest that this Agreement will mean higher cost for developing countries that wish to export their processed poultry products. On the other hand, however, Brazil has an extensive agri-business sector, and if we do not provide any protection for European farmers from those large producers, Europe’s primary sector could suffer as a result. I did not vote for the report because of this lack of information."@en1
