I support the document and would like to draw attention to a certain horizontal aspect of it, namely the European Parliament’s observation on unjustifiably high fees for various services that are not based on the costs of those services and are disproportionately high. Regardless of the payment type, the weaker party to the contract (usually it is the consumer who has not had the opportunity to become familiar with the standard conditions of the service) is forced to pay large fees, which the service provider then uses to cover expenses for services that are not profitable. Therefore I agree with the call for a requirement to set such fees on the basis of incurred costs, and I believe that the consumer would only benefit if there was a set upper limit for such fees."@en1
