lpv:translated text	"It will be impossible to finance the existing European policies, the new competences that the Member States unanimously transferred to the Union with the Treaty of Lisbon and the commitments made by all of the European institutions and the Heads of State or Government in the Europe 2020 strategy and the Compact for Growth and Jobs, particularly as regards climate, development assistance, research, employment and the fight against poverty. A reduction in global warming, economic recovery and social cohesion in Europe cannot be achieved unless the European budget is guaranteed the necessary financial resources. Consequently, the European Parliament report adopted today warns the European Council not to attempt to make any cuts in the next multiannual financial framework. Since the European Council constantly says that we need more Europe, the time has come for the Council to put its words into action."@en1
