"This report takes stock of the situation of women in the service sector, in which they have traditionally been in the majority. Nevertheless, that fact masks a completely different reality. In fact, women often work on a part-time basis, are passed over for managerial positions, and are the victims of unjustified wage gaps. Female immigrant workers and parental leave are some of the issues that the European Parliament has supported in order to ensure that greater consideration is at last given to the situation of women across the European Union."@en1
