lpv:translated text	"A total of EUR 1.5 trillion has been earmarked for investment in transport infrastructures and information and communication technologies in Europe between 2010 and 2020. Clearly, initiatives need to be taken by private individuals, coordinated by the Member States. We therefore need to create a framework to facilitate the effective utilisation of these investments. The Commission has proposed for the new multiannual financial framework that such investments should be facilitated using the Connecting Europe Facility. This initiative is a very important element for Greece because it focuses on the cross-border parts, and it therefore stands to benefit. The report, which I supported, encourages this initiative, calling for convergence and an agreement with the Council, but emphasising the points which require particular attention in each case."@en1
