"In the context of its accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the Russian Federation has committed to gradually reduce or eliminate its existing export duties on a list of raw materials. These commitments regarding export duty rates have been included in Russia’s Schedule of Concessions and Commitments on Goods. Numerous products are not listed in Russia’s Schedule of Concessions and Commitments on Goods. The list contained in this agreement is thus considerably long, covering very important raw materials. Those are raw materials, which are not listed in Russia’s WTO Schedule on Goods, for which Russia has more than 10% of global production or more than 10% of global exports, for which the EU has major import interest. With these comments on the matter, I voted in favour of the agreement for the introduction or increase of export duties on raw materials."@en1
