lpv:translated text	"This proposal seeks to establish specific legislation for infants, children under three years old and vulnerable population groups, who thus require a high level of protection in terms of imported and exported foods. The Commission proposal sets out a single list of substances that may be added, while excluding certain foodstuffs, including foods for sportspeople and the concept of dietetic food. Moreover, it is aimed at simplifying the labelling on products so that it is clear and easily understood by consumers. I therefore agree with the rapporteur’s position that this Regulation should include information about whether products contain gluten, or whether they are aimed at a low-calorie diet. I am voting for this proposal, as I consider it yet another step that safeguards European consumers."@en1
