lpv:translated text	"I voted for this report, as I believe that ensuring reliable and cost-competitive access to global energy supplies is key to supporting Europe’s competitiveness and security in light of the EU’s existing policy objectives set by the ‘20-20-20’ package and the long-term commitment to the decarbonisation of our economy by 2050. I also believe that combined efforts in terms of research, development and innovation (R&D&I) at EU level can result in quality research which is more efficient, cost-effective and dynamic than if it were carried out individually by each Member State. Similarly, we should look to cooperate further on R&D&I with third countries, in order to maximise these mutual advantages internationally."@en1
