lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this initiative because the import-export balance between the EU and China over the last 30 years has been in China’s favour, on account of the difficulty European companies have in penetrating the Chinese market and the seizure of more than 103 million items of goods on the EU’s external borders on suspicion of infringing intellectual property rights, China being the country of origin in 85% of cases. For all these reasons, I believe there is an urgent need to apply the principle of reciprocity to trade policy with developed and emerging countries in order to have fair competition and guarantee greater equality as regards all the commitments made to anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard measures when illegal trade practices are used."@en1
