"This report specifies the rules the Member States should observe for euro coins to be valid and in circulation, since the designs of the national sides of euro coins are decided by each Member State. The Member States should be allowed to issue commemorative euro circulation coins to celebrate subjects of major national or European relevance. In order to reduce the number of commemorative coins in circulation, the proposal included in this report will simplify the administrative procedures involved and, by virtue of their greater scarcity, increase their value. I voted for this report because I agree with the measures advocated."@en1
