"This Joint Undertaking was established to make the drug development process more efficient and effective so that the pharmaceutical sector will produce more effective and safer innovative medicines. The Joint Undertaking’s goals are thus to contribute to implementing the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), and to support pharmaceutical research and development in the Member States and countries associated with the FP7.
