lpv:translated text	"This report, by Inés Ayala Sender, concerns discharge in respect of the implementation of the general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2010, Section VIII – European Ombudsman. The purpose of the European Ombudsman, whose office is totally independent of any government or entity, is to investigate complaints about European institutions, bodies, services and agencies when they disrespect the law or their guiding principles. In its 2010 annual report, the Court of Auditors found nothing meriting comment regarding the European Ombudsman. I therefore believe there are no problems with the implementation of the Ombudsman’s budget; the internal audit of 2010 following the 2009 observations must have contributed greatly to this. Therefore, and in view of the report by the Committee on Budgetary Control, I am voting for this report, as it grants discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget of the European Ombudsman for 2010."@en1
