I, personally, chose to vote against the report. The report highlighted the many positive aspects of regional airports. However, instead of helping these regional airports, which are often used by low-cost airlines, measures were proposed that will severely limit the competitiveness of these airlines. Through a host of rules regulating hand luggage, charges for voluntary payment by credit card, the option to employ staff through employment agencies, the rug is being pulled from under the feet of many low-cost airlines (paragraphs 42 to 45 of the report)."@en1
