"I voted against this report as the EU should not, in my opinion, have a unified presence in foreign affairs. The current signatories to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) are all nation states. Indeed, the treaty must be amended in order to allow the accession of non-state entities. Whilst I fully support the aims of the treaty, it is for the United Kingdom to sign independently and not the preserve of the EU to become a signatory on behalf of the 27 Member States to any international agreements."@en1
