lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this resolution which aims at improvement of the quality and reliability of statistical data in the EU. The availability of correct statistics would have made it possible to trigger correction mechanisms at an early stage. I support the European Commission’s intention to give Eurostat greater investigative powers. I also support the greater coordinating role of the European Commission in providing assistance and expertise to the Member States to help them tackle research constraints and major methodological obstacles. Both internal and external audit mechanisms should be strengthened."@en1
