lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this report, which promotes the use of mobile broadband and stimulates economic growth in European regions. In May 2011, we approved measures aimed at accelerating the development of mobile broadband for everyone, using the radio spectrum freed up by the transition from analogue to digital television. The allocation of radio frequency falls within the jurisdiction of national governments and not the European Union, but the rules on the way in which spectrum is shared between Internet providers and users must be decided at a European level. In accordance with the agreement, all European Union Member States must free up the 800 MHz frequency band for wireless broadband services by 1 January 2013. A pan-European telecommunications market will also be created, where new services can create new opportunities to open up regions and stimulate growth for a 500 million strong consumer market."@en1
