Direct flights have been shown to help improve trade; firms do more business and invest more in markets which are the most convenient to reach. I hope that the EU-Indonesia Air Services Agreement will help to increase EU-Indonesia trade and that soon we will have a daily flight from Jakarta to Heathrow allowing British firms to tap into an economy which has an annual growth rate of 6.5%."@en1
