lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this resolution on trade and investment barriers. Open and fair trade is the best way to ensure and maintain a level playing field for European businesses competing at global level. The Commission must act proactively to remove or at the very least reduce the restrictive impact of non-tariff barriers (NTBs) on the capacity of European businesses to access foreign markets. I agree with the rapporteur that this must be a top priority of the new EU trade policy under the Europe 2020 strategy. The Commission should raise the issue of NTBs with all of the EU’s trading partners, above all, with the strategic partners with whom the EU does most of its trade. The EU should also carefully review its own trade measures in order to remove any illegitimate hindrances to open and free trade, and become a true frontrunner in the fight against NTBs."@en1
