lpv:translated text	"AIDS is a disease that can be fully prevented. Primary prevention measures that provide the necessary information, technical skills, services and products to protect people from catching HIV and promote safer behaviour are the cornerstones in preventing the spread of this disease. It is fundamentally important that the Commission develops joint measures to ensure that human rights are fully respected and human rights-based approaches are followed in HIV/AIDS policies, including information campaigns to combat the stigmatisation of and discrimination against carriers. This resolution calls on the Member States to do everything necessary to put an end to any kind of discrimination against people infected with HIV/AIDS and to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental freedoms, with particular focus on vulnerable people and those infected with HIV. It also urges them to review laws and policies that hinder the running of effective HIV programmes and to ensure that people infected with HIV/AIDS participate in drafting anti-discrimination policies. That is why I voted in favour."@en1
