lpv:translated text	"I welcome this resolution because we must eliminate artificial and arbitrary barriers for people living on both sides of the European Union’s external borders. The Member States have a special role to play in this case and must conclude bilateral agreements with neighbouring third countries as a matter of urgency. The implementation of these measures will create a favourable environment for the development of long-term cultural, social and economic links between the inhabitants of the entire region. I believe that this new recast regulation will help to establish better neighbourly relations between the EU and Russia. Moreover, it is clear proof that the EU is respecting its commitment to implementing the principle of freedom of movement and to consistently and actively support people’s right to free movement."@en1
