lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I wanted to cast a vote of principle on the question of Croatia’s accession to the European Union, and I voted ‘yes’. However, it was a ‘yes, up to a point’ vote. On the one hand, it is true that Croatia is a European country, which cannot be said of all the other candidate countries, and should, therefore, definitely have its place in the European Union. On the other hand, there are still a large number of problems in Croatia. I am thinking of, among other things, the problem of corruption. These problems must be tackled first and resolved successfully before the country is effectively allowed to join the European Union. Croatia should only be allowed to join the European Union if it fully meets all the Copenhagen criteria."@en1
