Although women often follow longer and more in-depth study programmes than men do, they continue to struggle to realise their full potential in the working environment. Women are still under-represented at the top of the social, economic and political ladder. I therefore applaud the decision by the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality to make gender mainstreaming the focus of all future parliamentary activities and documentation."@en1
