lpv:translated text	"By May 2012, the EU Commission aims to publish a Consumer Agenda which goes beyond the scope of the 2007-2012 EU consumer strategy. The intention is to comply with the principle of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union that consumer interests must be taken into consideration in all major EU policies. The focus of the agenda will be on the following areas: food and product safety, health, generating inclusive growth, cutting CO emissions by means of local and regional food production, reducing inequalities among EU citizens (many of whom cannot pay their rent or afford to heat their houses) and financing welfare services which are accessible to everyone on the basis of solidarity. In addition, the acts must also take into consideration the rights and interests of digital consumers. I have voted in favour."@en1
