It is essential that we have our house in order when it comes to replacing the bilateral agreements with these new EU-wide agreements. The report will ensure that we avoid discrimination between EU air carriers; the traditional designation clauses, referring to air carriers of the Member State party to the bilateral agreement, are to be replaced by an EU designation clause, referring to all EU carriers. This is a more transparent and open system, and is to be welcomed."@en1
