Uniform legislation must be introduced regarding the antibiotic residue content permitted in honey and in other apicultural products, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the internal honey market and eliminating competition distortion between beekeepers in different Member States. Typically, the minimum level of concentration of these substances does not pose any threat to human health, which means that No Action Levels (NAL) or Reference Points of Action (RPA) need to be introduced for honey."@en1
