"I voted in favour of Mr Cavada’s report, which not only outlines the current situation of European education, but also has the more far-reaching and decidedly noble objective of creating a European education system. The current reforms to the European Schools’ system involve simplifying access to education between countries. Increasing access to education between different countries promotes mobility, interculturalism, a European identity and solidarity. In summary, the current assessment of the European Schools’ system within Member States is positive and is capable of laying the foundations for a European School that would define a European identity for citizens of the future."@en1
