"Mr President, it may be an interesting venture to support and promote social responsibility in external relations. It concerns me that we are not going as far as we might in our activities. Social responsibility must be focused on the poorest, on those at the margins of society, on those who have no qualifications and who are most exposed to manipulation. In short, it must be focused on those who are furthest from the labour market.
The French programme on learning and working together, initiated by the organisation ATD Quart Monde and the French state, is a fine example of a solid enterprise preserving the authentic social responsibility of a partnership with the most disadvantaged workers. In this way, the Union can bring real added value to the policy."@en1
