"There was not really any negotiation. It was more a very general exchange of views, a kind of brainstorming. There was a conference beforehand specifically called e-G8, attended by some of the big players in the Internet business and the authorities. It was not exactly a negotiation; I did not see it like that. We asked these heads of major Internet companies to tell us how they saw the future of this industry and, furthermore, we shared our concerns, our interests and our perception of the Internet with the different members of the G8. However, there was not really any negotiation in terms of specific results."@en1
