This is to ensure the stability of the euro as a whole, in case of difficulties in one or more Member States of the euro area. However, the granting of financial assistance will remain subject to strict conditions, which I think is necessary. As does Parliament’s resolution, I welcome this commitment made by Member States, which shows true European solidarity.
