"I completely support the notion that we must allocate EUR 146 million to projects in the field of energy. This will have a tangible effect if the funds are applied sensibly. First, this decision will give the green light to all those who are seeking a significant cost reduction in the manufacturing, transport and transit sectors. There will be cost reductions, which means that income will go up and, in turn, by implementing a balanced fiscal policy, EU countries will be able to overcome the consequences of the global financial crisis more swiftly. The allocation of EU funds to projects in the field of energy is a good stimulus for the heads of EU governments, local authorities and businesses."@en1
