I cannot agree with the rhetoric that this is an attempt to rewrite history. A large part of the history of Eastern Europe is unwritten, or at least few are aware of it, and precisely the part that concerns crimes connected with communism. Nor can I support the approach that we should let historians decide what happened. I believe that it is our moral obligation, and I am glad that this resolution has been passed today."@en1
