) We have today voted against Mrs Toias’s own-initiative report () on social economy. We agree that the social economy plays an important role in today’s society, but we cannot support it being subject to different rules to other undertakings. It is not possible to draw a clear distinction between different types of undertaking and we do not believe that cooperatives and mutual societies should be favoured over small companies, for example, in respect of the possibilities for funding and other forms of aid."@en1
