"The justification for this legislation is to protect the EU financial system from money laundering and terrorist financing. The UKIP would always seek to cooperate internationally on these matters, however, the EU has no agreed competence on defence. Moreover as an organisation that has been unable to get its own accounts signed off for thirteen years the EU Commission cannot be considered to have any expertise whatsoever on finance or to be a fit body to put forward legislation on control of the financial system."@en1
